Former Prosper softball star commits to Arizona State

Ayden Allen, who helped Prosper to the Class 6A Region 1 final in 2021, announced her transfer to Arizona State. She spent the past season with Houston and appeared in only four games.

Allen had three at bats against Sam Houston State on Feb. 26, against Tarleton State on March 10 and against SFA on April 4. The middle infielder drove in her only run of the season in a game against Memphis on March 26.

A three-time all-district performer at Prosper, Allen helped the Eagles to district titles in 2019 and 2022. The Eagles posted a 56-11-2 record during her junior and senior seasons.

Her best year came as a senior in 2022 when Allen posted career highs in batting (0.450), hits (50), runs (48), doubles (11), home runs (7), steals (21), runs batted in (27) and double plays turned (9).

Overall in four seasons, Allen batted 0.357 with 126 hits in 125 games. She had 114 runs, 84 runs batted in, 20 doubles, 14 triples, 11 homers, 41 steals, turned 19 double plays and fielded 0.933.

Allen was also a two time DFW Fast Pitch Metroplex All Star.
