Just a few weeks after losing in the Women’s College World Series, the Oklahoma State softball team picked up a key addition for the 2024 season.
Former Aledo softball star Macy Graf is transferring to Stillwater after one season with Mississippi State.
Graf played in 40 games for the Bulldogs during her freshman campaign with 30 starts, mostly at third base. She had 25 hits and batted 0.291 and scored 22 times. Graf reached base in 30 games, including the first 17 games of her career, 10 in SEC play.
She also was hit five times and walked 20 times. She had six steals.
Graf was among the top players in DFW during her time at Aledo, ranking No. 43 in her class by Extra Innings Softball. She was ranked as the fifth best infielder in the nation. Graf helped Aledo to back to back state tournament appearances and the 2021 Class 5A state title game.
Graf was District Offensive MVP after hitting 0.519 as a freshman in 2019. She would hit 0.522 as a sophomore and 0.457 as a junior. She was a two time all state selection. Graf also played for top select team Texas Glory.
OSU went 47-16 this season including 1-2 in the WCWS. The Cowgirls lost 8-0 to No. 3 Florida State, beat No. 15 Utah, 8-0 and ended their season with a 3-1 loss to No. 4 Tennessee.
Graf will join a handful of former DFW stars on the Cowgirls roster, including Frisco Reedy’s Micky Wark. Mansfield Lake Ridge’s Tia Warsop (2023) will continue her career with OSU in the fall. Warsop is set to play for the Great Britain national team in Dublin later this summer.
