Colleyville Heritage senior middle Reagan Engler, who helped the Panthers to the Class 5A state volleyball championship in November, announced her commitment to play at Texas Tech.
Engler had been previously committed to Rice.
Engler also played at Coppell HS. But during her two seasons at Colleyville Heritage, Engler was one of the top middle blockers in the DFW area. She had 391 kills on 0.365 hitting and 170 total blocks in 138 sets as a junior when the Panthers went 40-11 and reached the 5A Region 1 tournament.
As a senior last season, Engler had 296 kills on 0.427 hitting and 104 total blocks in 120 sets.
The Panthers went 43-7 and won their first state title in program history after beating Lake Creek 3-0 in the semifinals and Frisco Reedy 3-1 in the state final. In the championship, Engler had seven kills and hit 0.500.
